Jimmy 'Jinky' Johnstone Memorial bronze statue

For the last six months I have been working on the claywork for a bronze statue memorial to the legendary Celtic 'Lord of the Wing' wee Jimmy 'Jinky' Johnstone. This statue will be placed close to his birthplace in View park, Uddingston, Glasgow. The lifesize statue will be cast in bronze here at the a4a art for architecture studio bronze foundry in Ayrshire. I have spent many hours working on the clay statue and portrait. I have depicted Johnstone in his younger days in a triumphant pose - the sort of victory salute he would give after scoring a goal!
